Sikh Society of Minnesota Board of Directors and Advisory Committee Election 2024
Sikh Society of Minnesota will conduct an election to fill openings on the Board of Directors and Election Committee. There are five vacancies for Board of Directors and three vacancies for Advisory Committee. The upcoming Board of Directors and Advisory Committee election will take place between Nov 4 and Nov 15. This is an important opportunity for each voting member to have a say in the leadership of our organization. The nomination period is from September 15 through September 30.
IMPORTANT: The ballot that will be emailed or mailed to you will include the election website URL and your login credentials. Voting does not take place on the Sikh Society of Minnesota website, nor is there a link from our site to the election website. You must enter the URL provided on the ballot to visit the election vendor’s website.

- Voting shall be conducted by an external election vendor via Simply Voting electronically or a paper ballot. Each member is considered to have consented to receive a ballot by electronic voting at the email address in the membership application form. If you no longer consent to receive ballot by electronic communication or prefer to vote by paper ballot, please notify the Advisory Committee via email at ssmadvisorycommittee@mnsikhs.com no later than September 30.
- We’ve noted that some members did not provide an email address on their membership form, as required. If you did not provide an email address but would like to receive an electronic ballot, you must notify the Advisory Committee via email at ssmadvisorycommittee@mnsikhs.com no later than September 30 certifying your consent and providing a valid email address. Any member who does not timely notify the Advisory Committee otherwise will be considered to have opted for a paper ballot.
- Only one electronic ballot shall be provided per email address. Please note: if multiple voting members, e.g., a family unit, used a single email address on the membership application form, only the head of household shall receive an electronic ballot at the email address provided. All other voting members will automatically receive and must submit a paper ballot
- If you are interested in running for either the Board of Directors or the Advisory Committee, you must submit your completed application form to ssmadvisorycommittee@mnsikhs.com by September 30. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
